Jonathan writes short fiction on a variety of topics, especially World War One and football culture. He was Writer of the Year for Hastings Writing Group in 2022 and 2024, and also won the Catherine Cookson Cup in 2024. In 2025 he was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize for Flash Fiction, and has been published in the Westword online journal.
