About me
Born in South London I moved to Hastings when I retired from my job as a Social Services Department Training Manager. My working life consisted of academic writing so I had no time for creative writing until I retired. I now write short stories and family history memoirs.
Since living in Hastings I have undertaken a City and Guilds Course in embroidery and work as a textile artist. I have sold many pieces of my work and have received commissions. With three children and six grandchildren scattered round the country a lot of my time is also spent on motorways.
I have been a member of the group for about fifteen years. During that time I have been a committee member, the treasurer and the chair.
My writing
I write mainly items of family history, short stories and plays. My adaptation of Frankenstein for the stage was performed at the Stables Theatre in Hastings.
